Yoga is the Sanskrit word for Union. In ancient Vedic times it was regarded as a way of life for the few who choose a path of austerity and isolation in pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, which according to the Vedas, is the ultimate goal for all humans.

In a broader sense however, Yoga can become a holistic discipline that offers a variety of tools for supporting health, healing and personal transformation. Yoga’s tools include postures, conscious breathing techniques, meditative practices, gestures, the use of vocal sounds and guided self-inquiry.
As a holistic form of healing, Yoga views the human system not just as the physical body, but also includes several other dimensions such as mind, personality and emotions that are interrelated and inseparable from each other.
Yoga is a Self-Empowering practice, which leads us to become our own healers.
As you learn to connect with your body using the tools provided by Yoga, you will begin to notice what your body is feeling, how it is reacting to your life situations, and to what you are eating.  As you deepen your practice, eventually you will start to open up to what your physical form actually needs. When you are connected to your physical form, in the flow of respecting and honoring it, you will want to treat the temple that is your body, only with things that feed, sustain and nourish it: healthy food, positive thoughts, liable relationships, clean environment and harmonious surroundings. Being able to make these clear decisions in life is known, in Yoga as discernment (Viveka).
The Vedic system views each individual as unique and for this reason each person´s process is approached in a manner that addresses the unique needs of that individual.

During this Re-Retreat our Yoga therapist will follow your daily progress and modify your schedule based on your potential. We will work with Yoga’s wide spectrum of healing tools to release the emotional toxicity and support the natural process of detoxification in the human body.
